According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Sunday, Sept. 8, 8:34 a.m., 2000 block Harrison Ave. “RP reported a new battery was left on his property. Believes transient living behind Chevron possibly stole it. Officer advised battery was not on RP property, but property where transient made camp.” Forty-three year old Randy Morgan, transient, “was referred to the DA Office for Criminal Trespass. He was given 4 days to remove all of his property and trash or he will be referred for Offensive Littering. Subject advised he found battery in the trash brought to station, placed in property room.”
