A 38-year old Vancouver, WA male drowned Aug. 2 on the North Oregon Coast after being swept offshore by a rip tide at Nehalem State Park. According to reports, Volodymyr Kravchenko was cam;ing with his famly when he went swimming in the surf during the evening hours. Three adults were swept away from the beach, two were able to make it back to shore. The incident happened north of Rockaway Beach where just last month four people, including two children had to be rescued due to a rip current.
