Noxious Weed Day, Oct. 14

Get ready for another great opportunity to learn about noxious weeds, how to control them, and how to do that safely! This is our third year hosting this event, and it just keeps getting better. This year we’ll have presentations on weed identification and control, weed mapping, gorse best management practices, pesticide safety, and we’ll finish the day with a tour to some weed hot spots and talk about treatment options. Monday, October 14th from 9 am – 4 pm at the Bandon Barn, 1200 11th St. Bandon OR. The event is FREE and lunch will be provided. There is a limited amount of Vastlan (triclopyr) available to Coos County residents on a first come, first serve basis. It will be available for purchase at the Coos County Cost-Share rate for those who attend the Fall Noxious Weed Day. Cost to individuals will be $43.25, payable to Coos County by either cash or check. ODA pesticide recertification credits will be available pending ODA approval.
