Nurturing Hope for Children with Special Needs and Health Concerns, Aug. 16

Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Family Center invites all adults caring for a child with special needs or health concerns to our Nurturing Hope for Children with Special Needs and Health Concerns workshop series. The series is free and will be held every Tuesday evening starting September 19, 2017 until November 28, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm. This Nurturing Hope workshop has been designed so that participants can connect with other parents and caregivers, learn to advocate for their child, acquire new techniques for calming and soothing, and just plain have fun and connect with their child. A family dinner and childcare will be provided at each of the weekly workshops. The Family Center is located on Southwestern’s Coos Campus at 2140 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay.
