Coos Bay news release. In conjunction with the Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 construction project, a conveyance pipe is being installed. Directional drilling (trenchless) technology is being utilized to place the pipeline. This method helps avoid damage to the roads and utilities. It also minimizes impacts to residents and businesses along the pipe route. Starting this week and continuing through January, the contractor will have traffic control measures in place on Ocean Blvd. Please exercise caution around these work zones.
