ODFW release – SALEM, Ore. – Oregon’s Fish Passage Task Force will convene a meeting Friday October 13th 2023, in Salem, OR. The October 13th meeting will be held at the ODFW Headquarters Office located at 4034 Fairview Industrial Drive SE Salem, OR and will be open to the public. The meeting will begin at 9:00 am and is expected to conclude by approximately 12:30 pm. Members of the public who are interested in viewing and participating in the meeting are encouraged to attend in person or participate virtually. The meeting agenda includes numerous ODFW Fish Passage Program updates, Task Force business items and a new fish passage exemption request by the Oregon Department of Transportation at a culvert along Hwy 58 in the Salt Creek Basin. You must pre-register to provide verbal testimony during the meeting by registering before 9:00 am Wednesday October 11th, 2023, a minimum of 48-hour prior to the meeting. Public comments will be heard during the meeting at 10 am. Written comments will be accepted prior to the meeting and are encouraged. You do not need to pre-register to provide written comment. The nine-member Task Force meets regularly to advise ODFW and the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission on fish passage policies and issues. Task Force members represent water users and owners-operators, fisheries and conservation interests, and the general public-at-large.
