ODFW Fish Passage Task Force will meet in Salem, Oct. 7

ODFW release – SALEM, Ore.—Oregon’s Fish Passage Task Force and the Fish Passage Rules Revision Initiative Sub-Committee will convene a joint meet Friday, Oct. 7 at ODFW HQ in Salem, 4034 Fairview Industrial Drive SE, beginning at 9 am. Members of the public who are interested in viewing and participating in the meeting virtually can access it via Microsoft Teams. The meeting agenda includes a fish passage exemption request in Linn County, ODFW Fish Passage Rule Revision Initiative updates, discussion and final consideration by the Sub-Committee and Task Force and other program updates. The agenda can be found on the ODFW Fish Passage Program website at ODFW Fish Passage Task Force. Public participation is encouraged but pre-registration is required to provide verbal testimony. The deadline to register is 9:00 am Wednesday, Oct. 5 (48 hours prior to the meeting). Public comments will be heard during the meeting and on separate agenda items. Written comments will be accepted anytime prior to the meeting and are encouraged; send comments to greg.d.apke@odfw.oregon.gov. The nine-member Task Force meets regularly to advise ODFW and the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Commission on fish passage policies and issues. Task Force members represent water users and owners-operators, fisheries and conservation interests, and the general public-at-large.
