The meeting will begin at 12 p.m., on March 14 and 9 a.m., on March 15 and take place in the ODFW Classroom at the headquarters building. The public is welcome to attend in person or virtually. The Advisory Committee will be discussing and voting on projects to fund from the 2023 PFA Grant Program Open Solicitation. The Private Forest Accord Mitigation Fund was established in the 2022 Legislative Session, arising from a historic agreement between timber and conservation groups. This agreement aimed to enhance aquatic resource protections within the Forest Practices Act, while providing long-term regulatory stability for the timber industry. One key element of the Accord is the development of a comprehensive Habitat Conservation Plan (HCP). The Private Forest Accord Grant Program, administered by ODFW, serves the critical purpose of funding projects that provide conservation uplift for HCP covered species and their habitats.
