ODOT Commission, Sept. 9

SALEM — The Oregon Transportation Commission will meet at noon, Thursday, Sept. 9. The meeting will be held virtually to ensure public access while maintaining social distance in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic. Items on the agenda include: Urban Mobility Office update: Receive a presentation and status update from the Urban Mobility Office on progress of core projects outlined in the Comprehensive Congestion Management and Mobility Plan. Provide direction for adoption of the highway cover design concept for the I-5 Rose Quarter Improvement Project. Transportation Safety Action Plan approval: Adopt the 2021 TSAP and adopt the accompanying Findings of Compliance for the 2021 Transportation Safety Action Plan. Receive a status update on the pedestrian safety improvement initiative that was approved at the May OTC meeting. Interstate Bridge Replacement Program: Provide an update on the IBR Program, guidance the program has received from federal agency partners about the environmental process, and key upcoming decisions and next steps. Engage the Commission on key trends in transportation and “drivers of change” and connect to the overall Oregon Transportation Plan (OTP) Update decision-making process and next steps. Set a Committee Charge with general guidance and direction for the OTP Policy Coordinating Committee. The agenda and meeting materials are available on the OTC website.
