Interstate 5 Siskiyou Summit, south of Ashland: Expect winter driving conditions into Monday night: Several crashes and spin-outs have affected traffic flow Monday afternoon. Southbound crashes are clear, one involving two downed motorcycles. Those are being cleared and traffic reopened. Northbound is also tied-up and traffic being held at the Exit 1 chain-checkpoint, but is expected to be lifted soon. If traffic is stalled, plows can’t clear the roadway. Slow down and drive to the conditions. Drivers are advised to stay on Interstate 5 and not take the old highway, which is only open to local traffic.
