ODOT Worker Killed, July 23

News release from the Oregon Department of Transportation.  A long-time ODOT veteran died in a workplace accident Tuesday, July 22.  54-year old Donald Kendall was killed during a chip seal paving operation in Eastern Oregon. Details of exactly what happened are not known at this time. Kendall was a transportation maintenance specialist.  One of ODOT’s many maintenance crew members who help keep our highways safe. He worked for ODOT for more than 29 years, operating snowplows and graders and helping stranded citizens.  “The ODOT family lost one of our own today,” said ODOT Deputy Director Paul Mather. “We all feel his loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his fellow workers.”
