ODVA Advisory Board in Brookings, March 6

The next meeting of the Advisory Committee to the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 6, at Southwestern Oregon Community College, 96082 Lone Ranch Parkway, in Brookings. The meeting will be open to the public and participation from the local veteran community is encouraged. One of the purposes of the meetings, which are held periodically in different areas of the state, is for committee members and ODVA leadership to hear from Oregon veterans about their needs and challenges. The committee is made up of veterans appointed by the governor to provide counsel on veteran issues and represent veteran concerns across Oregon. Its nine members serve in a vital advisory role to the director and staff of the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs. The advisory committee’s meetings are held quarterly on the first Wednesday in March, June and December, and the second Wednesday in September.
