The Coos Bay male who pointed a rifle at law enforcement officers last month and died during a shootout, was struck by eight bullets. According to a news release from Coos Co. District Attorney R. It “showed that Mr. Sweet died as the result of being struck with a total of eight bullets that struck him in the head, neck abdomen, and legs.” Frasier says the case is still under investigation and plans to hold a news conference on Tuesday, July 3, 2 p.m., Room 121, Courthouse in Coquille.
