OHRC Board to meet virtually, March 29

ODFW release – Alsea, Ore. — Due to the Governor’s Stay Home, Save Lives order, this OHRC Board meeting will be held online and by teleconference March 29. The meeting will run from 9 – 11:05 a.m. and the agenda is posted on the OHRC website. The meeting is open for public observation, however given that it is virtual and shortened, public comments will not be taken during the meeting. Instead, public comments will be taken March 29 – April 5 by emailing kerrie.j.tarkinton@state.or.us. The agenda includes updates for three OHRC Strategic Research projects, respectively designed to investigate effects from Domestication, Mate Choice and Olfactory Imprinting on the fitness and behavior of hatchery salmon. The OHRC is a cooperative research project between the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and Oregon State University, and the Board advises the OHRC Director on activities and functions related to the operation and maintenance of the OHRC.
