News release State Re. Caddy McKeown.  The Joint Ways and Means Committee will hold a teleconference town hall on Thursday, March 16. Oregonians on the South Coast will have a chance to weigh in on the state’s two-year budget as the Legislature’s Joint Ways and Means Committee hosts town hall-style public hearings in Coos Bay via video conference. The Joint Committee will gather in Salem and take testimony via video links to Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay and Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario. In Coos Bay, testimony will take place in Room 505 in Tioga Hall on the SOCC campus from 5 to 6 p.m. PT. The committee’s co-chairs released an “ExistingResources Budget Framework” in January, explaining the state’s $1.8 billion budget shortfall. Tomorrow is an opportunity for the committee to hear from Oregonians concerning the 2017-2019 state budget. Contact staff listed above for more information.
