SALEM, Ore. — The Oregon Board of Forestry will meet at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22. In compliance with Gov. Kate Brown’s directive on social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19, this will be a virtual public meeting. The meeting agenda includes: Approval of the 2021-2023 Agency Request Budget; A financial update from the department with consultant recommendations; State Forests Habitat Conservation Plan update; An update on recent ongoing, completed, and multi-agency projects related to climate change and forest carbon, including the agencies response to Executive Order 20-04; An update on fire season readiness; A presentation on activities of the Committee for Family Forestlands; Approval of Board governance policy, priorities, and expectations; View the agenda for additional topics to be discussed at https://www.oregon.gov/odf/board/pages/bofmeetings.aspx. The meeting will be livestreamed and public comment will be accepted. The live testimony is reserved for Board decision items (Items 2 and 10). The Board will also hold an executive session, for the purpose of considering information or records that are exempt from disclosure by law, pursuant to ORS 192.660(2)(f).
