Business Oregon will lead an Oregon delegation of six technology companies as well as university representatives as they present their ideas for new technologies at the third National Innovation Summit June 15-18 in Washington, D.C. The effort to commercialize and develop the new technologies comes from the ongoing efforts of Oregon’s technology sector in conjunction with the Oregon Innovation Council (Oregon InC) as well as Oregon State University, Portland State University, Oregon Health & Science University and the University of Oregon. The six Oregon companies attending the event are: Microflow CVO, Inc.; AMES Technology, Inc.; SupraSensor Technologies; Beet Inc.; VoxtelNano; and OnTo Technologies. In addition, representatives from the Oregon Nanoscience and Microtechnologies Institute (ONAMI) and the Oregon Built Environment & Sustainable Technologies Center (Oregon BEST), two of Oregon InC’s Signature Research Centers, will attend the innovation showcase. One of the goals of the Oregon delegation is to highlight at least 11 new technologies in the areas of advanced materials, energy and biotechnology developed here in Oregon. The Summit affords opportunities to connect these emerging technologies with private sector and government funding.
