Janelle Lindvall and Alexa Peterson each hit solo homers in the sixth inning and the No. 1 ranked Oregon softball team defeated Portland State, 4-2, on Tuesday night at Howe Field. The Ducks (41-5) posted four runs on five hits with a pair of hours while the Vikings (7-32) tallied two runs on five hits with one error.

Oregon senior Laura Roesler was named the USTFCCCA Division I Women’s National Athlete of the Week, Monday, after running to a 2:00.54 victory in the 800 at the Mt. SAC Relays over the weekend. The performance was her second nation-leading performance over the span of the past two weeks after a 2:01.10 at the Pepsi Dual.

Dylan Davis tossed 4 1/3 scoreless innings and drove in four runs to send the fifth-ranked Oregon State baseball team (28-8) to an 8-1 win over Sacramento State Tuesday afternoon at John Smith Field.
