Oregon dominated its rival to maintain its position in the thick of the national championship race, beating Oregon State 47-19 before 45,722 in Reser Stadium on Saturday evening in Corvallis. The Ducks scored early and often, with Marcus Mariota accounting for four touchdowns in the first half alone and six for the game, bolstering his case as a Heisman Trophy candidate. Charles Nelson caught a 29-yard TD pass on a wheel route just minutes into the game, Royce Freeman showed off soft hands to haul in a 12-yard screen pass for a score and Byron Marshall shrugged off a defender for a 77-yard TD reception from Mariota, all in the first half as the Ducks built a 30-3 halftime lead. As champions of the Pac-12 North, the Ducks will face South division champs Arizona in the conference title game Friday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. (6 p.m., FOX).

University of Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota was voted the Ducks’ Most Outstanding Offensive Player (Skeie’s Award) while senior safety Erick Dargan was named the school’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player at its annual football awards reception Sunday in Autzen Stadium’s Club at Autzen. It addition, Mariota and senior wide receiver Keanon Lowe shared acclaim as the team’s Most Inspirational Player (Wilford Gonyea Award) honors. Recipients of both awards were determined in a vote by their Oregon teammates.

The No. 13 Oregon volleyball team dropped its regular season finale against Oregon State, Friday, 27-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-12. Oregon (11-8, 21-8) finishes tied with Arizona for third in the Pac-12 behind league champion Stanford and second place Washington. Oregon State (9-11, 19-12) is tied for eighth.

The Oregon women’s volleyball team (21-9, 11-9 Pac-12) was selected as the No. 10 overall seed in the NCAA tournament with an at-large berth, Sunday. Oregon will host the four-team pod at Matthew Knight Arena, playing Santa Clara in the first round, Thursday at 7 p.m. If the Ducks are to win they would face either Oklahoma or LSU, Friday at 4 p.m. The Oregon State volleyball team earned an at large bid to the NCAA Tournament Sunday evening. The Beavers will travel to Topeka, Kansas and play Creighton on Friday, Dec. 5 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time. Also at the location in Topeka will be host University of Kansas and University of Arkansas – Little Rock.

The Oregon men’s basketball team rebounded from its first two losses of the season with some hot shooting and stout defense to beat Portland State, 81-59, before 5,040 in Matthew Knight Arena on Sunday. How It Happened: Down 8-2 after an 0-of-5 start from the floor, the Ducks (4-2) put together a 27-1 run that gave the home team the upper hand for the rest of the night. The Ducks remain at home to host Concordia on Wednesday night in Matthew Knight Arena (7 p.m. PT, Pac-12 Networks).
