Oregon State’s men beat visiting Nevada 66-62 Saturday afternoon in Gill Coliseum at Corvallis. The Beavers (6-1) next play at Kansas Saturday, Dec. 12.

Two teams that used to hang around the negative sports column about collegiate football rankings, known then as “The Bottom 10,” will play each other January 2, 2016 in a post season bowl game. The Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University (10-2) will play the Oregon Ducks (9-3) in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, TX. Steve Harvey used to run the “Bottom 10” poll and TCU, as well as Oregon and Oregon State, were common teams in his list. That was the 70s and today, the two programs are consistently in the positive polls. Oregon comes in ranked No. 15, and TCU is ranked No. 11. The game will be played in the Alamodome on ESPN, 3:45 p.m. kickoff.
