The Oregon volleyball team released its schedule for the 2015 season on Monday, with some high-profile teams lined up before heading into conference play. In a tournament hosted by Texas, the Ducks will play Florida, Friday, Sept. 4 followed by Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 5. The Gators finished the 2014 season as No. 6 in the AVCA Coaches’ Poll while Nebraska finished No. 8 after both teams advanced to the round-of-eight in last season’s NCAA Tournament. The season will begin with a tournament in Philadelphia, Pa, with St. John’s, Navy and Temple all on the docket from Aug. 28-29. From there, the Ducks will play matches against LIU Brooklyn (Aug. 31) and George Washington (Sept. 1) before traveling to Austin. The grueling two week stretch on the road will conclude with away matches at Texas-San Antonio on Sept. 7 and Texas State on Sept. 8. “The nonconference schedule will test our team on the road and help build our résumé for the postseason,” said head coach Jim Moore. “We’ll have a great opportunity to compete against some of the best competition in the country with the tournament in Austin before getting into the Pac-12 schedule.” Oregon will have two weeks to recover before it begins Pac-12 play with the Civil War in Corvallis on Thursday, Sept. 24.

The Oregon State volleyball team, fresh off a Sweet 16 finish at the NCAA Tournament, will have 14 of its matches televised on the Pac-12 Networks as the program’s 2015 schedule was announced on Monday. The team’s first nine Pac-12 Conference matches are slated to be televised, with five on the road. OSU opens Pac-12 play against Oregon at Gill Coliseum on Sept. 24. That’s also the team’s home opener as Oregon State will be on the road for the first four weekends of the regular season. After taking on Oregon, OSU visits Arizona State (Sept. 27). That completes the first weekend of league play before the Beavers welcome Utah (Oct. 2) and Colorado (Oct. 4).
