Oregon’s volleyball team fell at home Friday night to visiting Washington 3-1. The Duck men’s basketball team beat Savannah State Friday night in Eugene, 77-59. On Saturday, Oregon’s cross country teams ran in the NCAA Championships at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, Lousiville, KY. Edward Cheserek won his third NCAA individual title tying a feat accomplished by Steve Prefontaine when he ran for the Ducks. The Oregon women finished third and the men fourth overall. The Duck football team downed USC 48-28 for their fifth straight win Saturday. On Sunday, Oregon’s women downed visiting UC Santa Barbara in basketball 79-51 in Eugene, while the men disposed of Valparaiso 73-67.

OSU sports
Oregon State’s women were sixth out of ten teams at the Houston Invitation Swim Meet Friday & Saturday in Texas. Also Friday, Washington State beat OSU in volleyball, 3-1 inside Gill Coliseum at Corvallis. The Beaver wrestling team beat visiting Rutgers 24-12 Saturday in Corvallis, and Utah Valley 20-19. The OSU men’s basketball team won at UC Santa Barbara 71-59, but the football team fell at home to Washington 52-7. On Sunday, the women’s basketball team beat visiting UC Riverside 86-65.
