Oregon reports 764 new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases, 8 new deaths, Jan. 7

PORTLAND, Ore. — COVID-19 has claimed 8 more lives in Oregon, raising the state’s death toll to 1,558 the Oregon Health Authority reported at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday. Oregon Health Authority reported 764 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19 as of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday bringing the state total to 120,223. Wednesday’s case count is lower than anticipated because a server outage led to unscheduled database downtime Tuesday. In addition, today’s Tableau updates will not include electronic laboratory reporting information from Jan.5. We anticipate that electronic laboratory reporting information will be updated Thursday.
