The No. 2 ranked Oregon softball team maintained its perfect record with a doubleheader sweep at Houston on Tuesday afternoon. The Ducks (8-0) won the first game, 2-0, behind strong pitching from Geri Ann Glasco and Cheridan Hawkins. Oregon then took the second game, 10-5, after scoring three runs in the first inning. While Oregon’s pitching got it done in the first game, the Ducks’ bats came alive in the second game. Oregon scored 10 runs on 14 hits and won 10-5. The Ducks scored three runs in the top of the first before Gillespie crushed a solo shot to left in the second inning. Oregon added two more runs in the third and another in the fifth. Oregon plays at Sam Houston State today.
