Chelsea (White) Shaw has been named head acrobatics and tumbling coach at the University of Oregon, Director of Athletics Rob Mullens announced Thursday. A former student-athlete at UO, where she was part of the Ducks’ first two National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) national championships, Shaw returns to Eugene after a successful head coaching debut at Gannon University in 2014.  Shaw becomes just the second head coach in the program’s history, taking over for her former coach Felecia Mulkey, who won four NCATA national titles in five seasons before departing for Baylor last spring.

The Oregon softball team has signed Nebraska transfer and Keizer, Ore., native Hailey Decker, head coach Mike White announced on Thursday.  Decker will be a junior next season for the Ducks and can play immediately. The NCAA does not require softball players to sit out a season when transferring.  Last season Decker started all 62 games for the Huskers and was named first team all-Midwest Region and first team all-Big Ten after leading Nebraska with a .369 batting average, 21 doubles and 53 RBIs. The infielder also hit 14 home runs, which would have led the Ducks.
