Oregon State Marine Board Postpones Meeting, March 23

The Oregon State Marine Board is postponing its quarterly meeting, originally scheduled for April 14 and 15, 2020, until late May. The details on the date, time and location have yet to be determined. The Board meeting may be held virtually or in-person, depending on the conditions surrounding COVID-19 and any Governor Mandates. All necessary information on how to participate will be provided in a future public meeting notice and news release. The agency will ensure the public has ample time to submit written comments on agenda items where the comment period has not closed, prior to the Board meeting. Items currently open for written public comment will not be extended prior to the May meeting. Comment deadlines are quickly approaching. The following items are currently open for public comment: Proposed rulemaking for the Newberg Pool – comment period closes March 22, 2020, at 11:55 pm; Proposed rulemaking for CPR/First Aid notice requirements for Outfitters and Guides – comment period closes April 1, 2020, at 4:30 pm; Proposed rulemaking for personal floatation devices and fire extinguishers – comment period closes April 1, 2020, at 4:30 pm; Proposed rulemaking for the Waterway Access Grant Program – comment period closes April 1, 2020, at 4:30 pm; Citizen petition for the Newberg Pool – comment period closes on April 5, 2020, at 11:59 pm.
