Junior forward Jarmal Reid scored 16 points off the bench on Tuesday as Oregon State concluded its nonconference schedule with a 76-64 comeback victory over UC Santa Barbara before a crowd of 4,803 at Gill Coliseum. The Beavers (9-3) erased a 16-point first-half deficit and pulled away in the second half to improve to 8-0 at home. It’s their best home start since a 10-0 run to begin the 1998-99 campaign. The Beavers open Pacific-12 Conference play at Oregon on Saturday in a 5 p.m. game at Knight Arena in Eugene. It will be televised by ESPNU.
