The Oregon State volleyball team went 3-0 Saturday, defeating Western Oregon twice and Southern Oregon once in exhibition matches at Gill Coliseum. All three matches were designated to go only three sets.

Third baseman Mitchell Tolman was named Pac-12 player of the week Monday, after hitting .600 as the Oregon baseball team won five times last week. Tolman, a sophomore from Lake Forest, Calif., was 9-for-15 on the week with six RBIs and five runs. He had a hit in all five games — two midweek wins over Portland and a weekend sweep of UC Riverside — and had multiple hits four times. A third baseman for the Portland games, Tolman served as designated hitter against UC Riverside. He’s now hitting a team-best .352, ninth in the Pac-12.
