Oregon State Police report, April 17

Open Container
A 58-year old Drain male was taken into custody April 9, 3:26 p.m., after he was stopped by an Oregon State Police Trooper after a “routine license plate check showed the registered owner of the vehicle was criminally suspended for DUII.” According to an OSP report, Russell Keith Lobo “produced the opened and unopened beer cans that he hid under the passenger’s feet, I placed him in custody for Misdemeanor Driving While Suspended.” The black Ford Explorer was released to the 24-year old female passenger, and Lobo was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille “where he was issued a criminal citation for Driving While Suspended and violation citations for Driving Uninsured and Open Container of Alcohol.”

Both were DWS
According to an Oregon State Police report, April 9, 5:32 p.m., green VW Jetta, Hwy. 101 & Davis Ck., “I responded to a reported disturbance on US-Hwy. 101 south of Bandon. The female operator of a VW Jetta and her passenger were involved in an argument while driving. The operator stopped the vehicle and walked away. The male passenger then drove the vehicle down the HWY following the female. The subjects both stopped and continued to argue. They both stated that the dispute never became physical. A DMV records check showed them both to be Driving While Suspended. Both operators were issued citations for DWS and Driving Uninsured.” Driver identified as 24-year old Kimberly Nicole Brockway, Port Orford, and the “other involved person” 32-year old Daniel Wayne Tullos II, Bandon. The vehicle was impounded.

Impounded vehicle report from the Oregon State Police: April 10, 9:41 a.m., Hwy. 101, mp 239 nb, silver/aluminum Pontiac Grant “stopped for multiple violations,” 30-year old Travis Joseph Roland, Coos Bay, “found to be driving uninsured. Vehicle impounded.”

Failure to Report
An 18-year old North Bend male was taken into custody April 10, 10:13 a.m., Libby Lane & Shinglehouse Road, Coos Bay, following a traffic stop for “registration violation.” According to an OSP report, Marcus Allen Hardman was found to have “updated his address at DMV one month ago. Sex offender registration records indicated he had not registered at his new residence with 10 days as required.” He was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille and cited for Fail to Report as Sex Offender – Felony.

Shot a Barred Owl
A 19-year old Myrtle Point teen was cited and released April 10, 11:07 a.m., for Taking Protected Species: Barred Owl after he “posted a picture of himself with a shotgun and a dead Barred Owl on social media.” According to an OSP report, an investigation resulted in Blaine Wyatt Monson being cited.
