Oregon State Police Report, April 29

DWS Arrest
A tan 1988 Oldsmobile, stopped for “not maintaining its lane April 21, 1:13 p.m., Hwy. 101, milepost 247, led to an arrest.  According to an Oregon State Police report, 19-year old Wyatt Shane Griffith, Coos Bay, was found to DWS-Misdemeanor.  He was arrested and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.  The vehicle was impounded.

Speeding in Empire
A dark blue Ford Excursion, stopped for speeding on South Empire Blvd. and Michigan Ave., April 21, 11:51 p.m., resulted in an arrest.  According to an OSP report, 36-year old Jesse Lee Price, Coos Bay, “showed signs of impairment.  He consented to and failed field sobriety tests.”  Price was transported to CBPD where he provided  a breath sample, issued a Criminal Citation for DUII and released to a sober adult.

Chip Truck Accident
Power was lost to a portion of the Green Acres community south of Coos Bay April 23, 12:10 a.m. when a Terrain Tamer semi-truck and trailer “drove off the right shoulder for unknown reasons,” on Hwy. 42, milepost 0.4, and struck an ODOT “Do Not Enter” sign and a Verizon power pole.  According to an OSP report, 48-year old Wallace Joseph Francis Davidson, Sutherlin, was cited for Failure to Drive within Lane.  He complained of right elbow pain after initially declining medical.  “The vehicle combo came to rest along side the tracks.”  The left lane of Hwy. 42 and the railroad were closed for approximately 10-hours.

Warrant
A dark blue Nissan Altima, stopped April 24, 3:16 p.m., led to a warrant arrest.  According to an OSP report, 52-year old Cindy Rae Kerstetter, Coos Bay, was not using her seatbelt.  “During the investigation, I found that Kersterrer failed to carry and present a driver’s license, had suspended driving privileges, had an SR-22 requirement, and had a warrant for FTA on a previous (2004) DUII charge out of Jackson Co.”  She was additionally charged with DWS-Violation, Failure to File SR-22, and warned for Failure to Use Seatbelt.   Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
