Oregon State Police Report, Jan. 24

DUII
A silver/aluminum Ford, stopped for a traffic violation Jan. 21, 2:02 a.m. on SR 240 (Cape Arago Hwy.) and Miluk Road, led to a DUII citation.  According to an Oregon State Police report, 23-year old Brandon Alexander Lorenzi, Coos Bay, “showed signs and symptoms of impairment.  He consented to and failed Field Sobriety Tests,” and taken to CBPD for a breath sample.  Lorenzi was issued a criminal citation and several violation citations before being released to a sober adult.

Multi-Vehicle Accident
Three vehicles were towed from an accident scene on Hwy. 101 south of Coos Bay Jan. 21, 12:53 p.m.  According to an OSP report, a Lexus SUV, traveling southbound near milepost 242, failed to stop in time for traffic stopped ahead.  The operator braked hard and swerved to the right striking the right rear of a Chevrolet Malibu before sideswiping and driving into a Ford F250 pickup truck.  Both ended up in an adjacent ditch.  The Lexus flipped upside down and came to rest on its top.  The Lexus driver was transported to Bay Area Hospital by ambulance.  The right southbound lane was closed for about an hour.  Drivers included:  83-year old Dominique Minaberrigaray, Coos Bay, 67-year old Arthur Allen Stone, Walton, and 78-year old Joanne Rae Wilskey, Coos Bay.
