Warrant/Drugs
The driver of a blue Toyota four-door, stopped “for not wearing his seatbelt, was arrested on warrants June 19 at Myrtle Ave. and Woodland Dr. in Coos Bay. According to an Oregon State Police report, 34-year old Ron Lee Boone, Coos Bay, “was not honest about his identity and was arrested for failing to carry and present. During a consent search of person Cocaine was located. During a consent search of the vehicle confessed Methamphetamine was located. The suspect also confessed to his true identity and that he had multiple warrants for his arrest. The case is still under investigation.” The vehicle was towed.
Vehicle clouting
A couple from Mountlake Terrace, WA, were victimized when they stopped to hike the trails at the John Dellenback Dunes Trailhead near Lakeside on June 21. According to an OSP report, when the two returned to their black Toyota Highlander they found their right rear door window broken out and a yellow Marmot backpack gone. The backpack contained the female’s driver’s license, credit cards, $40 in cash and miscellaneous tax forms. “They also provided me a digital photo of a suspect vehicle they had seen parked near their vehicle prior to the time they left for the hike. Investigation continues.”
Committing Fraud
A 32-year old Coquille female was charged with Giving False Information Regarding Liability Insurance after she presented an alleged “proof of insurance to the court clerk at the North Bend annex court.” According to an OSP report, Tasha Marie Renard was contacted Jan. 24, 2014 for a traffic violation. “During the stop, she stated that her vehicle was insured. Renard was unable to provide proof of insurance and was issued a violation citation for Fail to Carry Proof of Financial Responsibility.” She appeared in court and provided what she claimed was proof of insurance. “Court personnel subsequently examined the insurance document provided by Renard and recognized it to be a forged document. Court personnel then contacted the insurance company and confirmed that Renard was not insured and had in fact forged the document. At the request of Judge Bechtold, I later contacted Renard and issued her a criminal citation for Giving False Information Regarding Liability Insurance. Additional charges will be referred to the DA.”
Wanted
An individual walking on SR 540 near Travis Lane June 22, in Coos Bay was arrested for a pedestrian violation. According to an OSP report, 32-year old Eric Allen Enders was found to be wanted out of Washington and was taken into custody, transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
DUII/Accident
A 70-year old North Bend female was charged with DUII following a single vehicle accident south of Coos Bay, June 23. According to an OSP report, a gold Honda Accord was westbound on Hwy. 42, but reportedly swerving as it neared the Davis Slough Bridge and struck a guardrail. “The vehicle stopped when the left front corner was wedged under the guardrailing. Witness on scene reported that the operator exhibited signs of alcohol impairment.” Myrna Irene White was contacted at Bay Area Hospital. She was issued a criminal citation for DUII and violation citations for Failure to Drive within Lane and Open Container of Alcohol.” A second report on June 24, 4:29 p.m., involved White and a DUII arrest. According to the OSP, “after having arrested WHITE for DUII yesterday, I went to her residence today to issue her a citation for Open Container of Alcohol related to her crash yesterday. While driving on Meadow Lane near her residence, I found an unoccupied white passenger car that had been crashed into a fence. I checked the license plate through DMV and found it registered to Berger’s Top Service Body Shop in Coos Bay. I phoned Berger’s and was informed that they had provided the car as a loaner vehicle to WHITE about an hour earlier. I then drove the ¼ mile to WHITE’S residence where I contacted her. She exhibited signs of impairment and consented to field sobriety tests which she failed. She was arrested for DUII and transported to the North Bend Police Department where she consented to a breath test.”
Warrant
A female observed walking in a trailer park off the Cape Arago Hwy. near Charleston June 23, was recognized as being wanted by an Oregon State Police trooper. According to an OSP report, 53-year old Lorna Jeanne Dudash was taken into custody and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
