The Oregon track and field team has qualified 16 student athletes in 22 individual events as well as three relay teams for the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships on March 10-11 in College Station, Texas. The top-ranked Women of Oregon will send 10 athletes in 13 events to Texas, as well as a 4×400-meter relay team and a distance-medley relay team, as they aim for their seventh NCAA Indoor title and second in as many years after winning the championship last season. The No. 3 ranked Men of Oregon enter the NCAA Indoor Championships with six athletes in nine events as they go for their fourth-straight indoor title and fifth overall. Fifteen-time national champion Edward Cheserek will have a chance to make history as he goes for his 16th national title, which would be the most in NCAA history. He is entered in the mile after breaking the collegiate record last Sunday (3:52.01), as well as the 3,000 and 5,000 meters.
