The OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 3A State Basketball Tournament gets underway Thursday with first round games at both Marshfield & North Bend high schools. The boys will open at MHS with Oregon Episcopal (19-7) playing two-time defending state champion De La Salle North Catholic (19-6) at 1:30 p.m. The second game at 3:15 p.m. will feature Creswell (20-5) & Amity (20-6). The evening session has St. Mary’s of Medford (15-9) playing Salem Academy (19-5) at 6:30 p.m., followed by Cascade Christian (21-5) & Dayton (22-6). The girl’s teams will open Thursday at NBHS. At 1:30 p.m., Harrisburg (20-6) & defending state champion Clatskanie (20-2). At 3:15 p.m., Brookings-Harbor (19-6) & Willamina (21-6). At 6:30 p.m., Burns (22-5) & Pleasant Hill (20-3), and at 8:15 p.m., Vale (17-8) & Sutherlin (23-2). Championship games are set for Saturday at MHS.
