In the girl’s championship quarter-final games Thursday at MHS, Burns beat Brookings-Harbor 57-40, Clatskanie downed Oregon Episcopal 35-27, Blanchet Catholic over Vale 46-35 and Salem Academy beat Warrenton 42-26. That sets up consolation semi-finals at NBHS beginning at 9 a.m. between Oregon Episcopal & Brookings-Harbor. At 10:45 a.m., Vale will play Warrenton. In the championship semi-finals at MHS, Clatskanie will play Burns at 4:15 p.m. and Blanchet Catholic takes on Salem Academy at 6 p.m. On the boy’s bracket: Sutherlin lost to defending state champion De La Salle North Catholic 58-45 at NBHS. Pleasant hill downed Nyssa 52-30, Dayton over Clatskanie 52-35, and Amity got by Santiam Christian 60-59. Consolation semi-finals at MHS begin at 8 a.m. with Sutherlin taking on Nyssa, followed by a 9:45 a.m. game between Clatskanie and Santiam Christian. Championship semi-finals begin at noon with Pleasant Hill playing De La Salle North Catholic, followed by Amity & Dayton at 1:45 p.m.
