Sixteen teams and 22-games later the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union 3A Girls & Boys State Basketball Championships wrapped up Saturday night at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay with one new champion and one repeat champion. Clatskanie’s girls won their second-straight title with a 51-40 win over Sutherlin. Oregon Episcopal of Portland came from only five wins a year earlier to win the state championship this year with a 35-33 win over Cascade Christian of Medford. According to OSAA figures, nearly 9,000 spectators took in the three days of basketball at both MHS & NBHS.
