In the OSAA baseball playoffs for Tuesday, May 28: 4A – Fourth seeded Marist Catholic (20-9) upset No. 1 seed Henley (28-2) 7-6 (8) Tuesday at Klamath Falls to advance to the OSAA/OnPoint Community Credit Union State Championships June 1st, Volcano Stadium, Keizer. The Spartans will play No. 3 seed Scappoose (24-5) which ousted No. 2 seed North Marion/ Gervais (23-5), 11-6. 3A – It will be an all coastal final. No. 9 seed Brookings-Harbor (20-7) beat No. 4 seed Pleasant Hill, 6-4 to advance to the finals to play No. 3 Warrenton (24-5), a 2-0 winner over No. 2 Banks (24-5). The 2A title game will be between No. 2 Umpqua Valley Christian (25-5) and No. 1 Knappa (24-4).

It will be No. 1 Henley vs. No. 3 Pendleton for the OSAA/On-Point Community Credit Union 3A State Softball Championship, June 1, Jane Sanders Stadium, Eugene. The top-ranked Hornets (29-2) ousted No. 4 Astoria (21-7), 4-2 Tuesday, while Pendleton (28-2) beat No. 15 Scappoose (11-17) 6-2. The 3A title game will feature No. 2 South Umpqua (26-3) and No. 1 Scio (25-1). In the 2A/1A semi-finals, No. 2 Weston-Ewen/Griswold (21-4) will play No. 1 Grant Union/Prairie City (24-4) for the title.
