Marshfield’s boys are ranked No. 5 in the final OSAA 4 Basketball Rankings which were frozen Tuesday night, Feb. 19. The Pirates earn a bye from the Play-In Round and will host a playoff game on Friday, March 1 with the winner advancing to the OSAA 4A Tournament in Forest Grove March 7-9. Other district qualifiers: Dist. 1 – Seaside (21-3) & Banks (23-3); Dist. 2 – No. Marion (15-9) & Gladstone (17-7); Dist. 3 – Stayton (19-3) & Woodburn (20-4); Dist. 4 – Marshfield (20-5) & Marist Catholic (16-8); Dist. 5 – Henley (16-7) & Mazama (12-10); Dist. 6 – Baker (17-5) & Mac-Hi (16-9). The Play-In Round, on or before Feb. 23, has Sweet Home (13-11) @ Newport (11-13); Klamath Union (11-9) @ Sisters (13-11); La Grande (7-12) @ Philomath (12-11); and, Cascade (12-11) @ Valley Catholic (17-9). The winners of the Play-In Round will advance to join the other twelve in a final 16-team bracket with matchups based on the final rankings.
