The Classification and Districting Committee for the Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA) has recommended a six-classification for its high school members for the 2018-2022 seasons. Under the current draft proposal, both North Bend and Marshfield will be in the 4A Far West League, but its membership could be different after the OSAA tweaks the classifications with which schools will be in which leagues and what the enrollment marks will be for each classification.  Under the current draft proposal for the 4A Far West League, the Pirates and Bulldogs would be joined by Brookings-Harbor, North Valley, Hidden Valley (both near Grants Pass), Cottage Grove.  Current 4A Far West League members Douglas, Siuslaw, and South Umpqua would drop down to the 3A classification and form an Umpqua River Conference with Rogue River and Sutherlin included.
