OSAA 3A Bbxb Quarter-Finals
The OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 3A Boys’ State Basketball Championships begin Thursday afternoon and run through Saturday in the Bay Area. First round games will be played at Marshfield beginning at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, when No. 8 Pleasant Hill (21-5) plays No. 1 Westside Christian (25-4). At 3 p.m., No. 5 Oregon Episcopal (19-7) vs. No. 4 Banks (22-3); 6:30 p.m., No. 6 Cascade Christian (24-4) vs. No. 3 Dayton (25-1); and, 8:15 p.m., No. 7 Creswell (20-4) vs. No. 2 De La Salle North Catholic (23-3). Consolation games will follow Friday morning at North Bend HS, and then the Final Four at Marshfield Friday afternoon and evening. Championship game is set for Saturday at MHS. The OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 3A Girls’ State Basketball Tournament begins this afternoon at North Bend HS. The tourney runs through Saturday in the Bay Area with first round games at North Bend HS. Consolation games are Friday morning at Marshfield followed by the championship semi-finals and finals also at MHS. Schedule for Thursday, March 2, 1:30 p.m., No. 9 Lakeview (24-4) vs. No. 1 Banks (25-2); 3:15 p.m., No. 5 Santiam Christian (23-5) vs. No. 4 Amity (21-4); 6:30 p.m. No. 3 Corbett (22-3) vs. No. 6 Nyssa (22-4); and, at 8:15 p.m., No. 7 Pleasant Hill (22-1) vs. No. 2 Sutherlin (26-2). Girl’s consolation games will be played at Marshfield Friday morning, followed by the Final Four at MHS in the afternoon and evening. Championship game is set for Saturday night at MHS. No. 6 Bandon (23-5) opens the OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union 2A Girls’ Basketball Tournament Thursday, 6:30 p.m., against No. 3 Stanfield (25-1) at Pendleton HS.
