Banks denied Mac-Hi a second straight OSAA 4A Softball Title Saturday at the OSU Softball Complex in Corvallis. The Braves lost to McLoughlin, from Milton-Freewater, in last year’s championship game, but came away with a 5-2 win this year to take home the blue trophy. Rainier beat Dayton 5-4 for the 3A crown, Pilot Rock/Nixyaawii beat Union/Cove 9-2 for the combined 2A/A title. Churchill beat Lebanon 11-3 for the 5A crown and Jesuit took the 6A trophy 9-1 over Glencoe.

Henley beat Estacada 3-2 Saturday at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer for the OSAA 4A State Baseball Championship. Stanfield/Echo won the 3A title in 10 innings, 5-4 over Santiam Christian. Burns won the combined 2A/1A championship 4-3 over Knappa. The 5A crown went to Summit 12-2 over Hood River Valley, and Jesuit won the 6A title 9-3 over Oregon City.
