Congratulations to the Marshfield Speech & Debate team who competed at the state tournament at Western Oregon University this past weekend. Marshfield won the 4A/3A/2A/1A OSAA Speech State Championship (tied with Bandon). Individual Awards: Duo Interpretation State Champions- Sydnie McCarty & Josh Giacomini; Humorous Interpretation Third Place- Sydnie McCarty; Public Forum Quarter Finalists- Josh Giacomini & Lucas Stephens; Duo Interpretation Finalists- Cece Visser & Junior Barrera; Radio Commentary Semifinalist- Lucas Stephens; Extemporaneous Speaking Semifinalist- Lucas Stephens; Poetry Reading Semifinalist- Wilbur Lovelady; Informative Speaking Semifinalist- DJ Dirk.
