Marshfield finished 19th at the OSAA/On Point Community Credit Union State 4A Wrestling Championships at Veteran’s Memorial Coliseum in Portland Saturday. La Grande won the team title. The Pirates’ freshman Jonathan Calvert (126) lost his opening match, won his second in consolation, but then fell in the next consolation round. Senior Peyton Forbes (145) placed second overall. Senior Tandy Martin (160) won his opener, but then lost in the next round and was eliminated in consolation play. Senior Josh Hinds (170) won his opener, lost in the next round, won a consolation match, but lost in the next round. Reedsport Charter took first place in the 2A/1A championships. North Bend was 28th in the 5A division. Crescent Valley took first place. For the Bulldogs: Junior Liam Buskerud (160) lost his opener, won his first match in consolation but lost in the next round. Junior Gabriel Foltz (285) lost his opener and fell in the consolation first round.
