OSU release – CORVALLIS, Ore. – The accolades continue to roll in for Raegan Beers. The freshman from Littleton, Colo. earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honors for the second time this season after racking up three more double-doubles against NC Central, USC and No. 12 UCLA. Beers is the sixth Beaver to win multiple freshman of the week awards since it was instituted in 2013-14. She joins Jamie Weisner, Sydney Weise, Mikayla Pivec, Taylor Jones and Sasha Goforth as Beavs to win multiple awards in a season. The Coloradan led Pac-12 freshmen with 22.7 points per game and averaged 13 rebounds per game. She set career-highs in back-to-back games with 14 rebounds against USC and 15 against UCLA. In Sunday’s win over then-no. 10 UCLA, Beers scored 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting. She is one of just nine freshman in the country to score at least 20 points on 80 percent shooting. The career-high 15 rebounds gave Beers her eighth double-double, twice as many as any other freshman in the country. Beers and the Beavers head south this weekend to take on No. 15 Arizona and Arizona State. Friday’s contest against the Wildcats tips off at 5 p.m. PT on Pac-12 Networks.
