Coos County OSU Extension will be offering an evening seminar for sheep and goat producers interested in learning about current market trends and opportunities, as well as winter and spring health considerations for successful small ruminant production. The educational program will include management tips for disease and parasite control by Dr. Amy Nicholson, of Myrtle Veterinary Hospital. In addition, Dr. Stephanie Larson, University of California Cooperative Extension will give a presentation addressing lamb and wool marketing and niche marketing opportunites. Whether you have 5 animals or 500, all producers and interested parties are encouraged to attend. The seminar will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 6:30pm at the Coos County OSU Extension Office in Myrtle Point. Cost is $10, and a light dinner will be provided.
