OSU release – CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State inside linebacker Omar Speights has been named a preseason fourth-team All-American by Phil Steele. Speights leads a list of 10 Beavers who have also been named preseason All-Pac-12 selections. Offensive lineman Brandon Kipper joins Speights as preseason All-Pac-12 First Team selections. Both Speights and Kipper were named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention selections by the league’s coaches last season. Three Beavers have also been named preseason second team. Fellow offensive lineman Joshua Gray joins Kipper; Gray was also an honorable mention selection last year. As was defensive back Jaydon Grant, who was also selected second team by Phil Steele. They’re joined by punter Luke Loecher, who set the Oregon State single-season punting average. Offensive lineman Jake Levengood, wide receiver Tre’Shaun Harrison and kicker Everett Hayes were recognized as preseason third-team selections. Hayes was also named honorable mention in 2021. Oregon State’s fourth-team selections include running back Deshaun Fenwick and defensive back Rezjohn Wright, who earned honorable mention honors a year ago. The Beavers open the 2022 season Sept. 3 when hosting Boise State at Reser Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. PT.
