Oregon State’s 2016-17 non-conference men’s basketball schedule includes seven games at Gill Coliseum, two in Portland and four true road contests, head coach Wayne Tinkle announced Tuesday. The season officially begins on Friday, Nov. 11 when Oregon State hosts Prairie View A&M at Gill Coliseum. The legendary venue in the “Best College Town in the Pac-12” will feature several new enhancements, including a state-of-the -art sound system and cameras being moved to the opposite side to showcase Oregon State’s student section, the OSU BeaverDam. The Beavers will play two games at Moda Center in Portland for the second straight year. The Dam City Classic presented by Toyota features Oregon State vs. Long Beach State and Portland vs. South Dakota on Friday, Dec. 16 and Oregon State vs. Portland on Sunday, Dec. 18. For the first time since 2010, Oregon State will play four non-conference games on an opponent’s home court — Nov. 18 at Nevada, Nov. 22 at Tulsa, Dec. 1 at Mississippi State and Dec. 3 at Charlotte. The Pac-12 released the weekly matchups and site designations last month. The final conference schedule will be announced in early September and include game times and television partners.
