Oregon State is up first on Friday, Dec. 29, 11 a.m., El Paso, TX, OSU (8-4) plays Notre Dame (9-3) in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl on CBS. Notes from OSU: Oregon State is making its 20th all-time bowl appearance, going 12-7 in its previous 19. The Beavers are meeting the Fighting Irish for the third time, following victories in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl and 2004 Insight Bowl. Oregon (11-2) has a New Year’s Day game with Liberty University (13-0) January 1st, 10 a.m. from Glendale, AZ at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl televised on ESPN. The two teams have not met before.
