Oregon’s football team lost by three-points 34-31, to Washington Friday in the Pac-12 Championship game at Las Vegas. The UW victory sends the Huskies into the CFP Final Four and a semi-final matchup with Texas at the Sugar Bowl, while the Ducks (11-2) head to the Fiesta Bowl to play unbeaten Liberty (13-0), New Year’s Day, 10 a.m., Glendale, AZ, on ESPN.

Despite the exodus from the Oregon State football program at the end of the regular season, the Beavers did earn a bowl trip and will play Notre Dame, Friday, Dec. 29, in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, El Paso, TX, 11 a.m., on CBS.

Oregon’s volleyball team won both of its first round NCAA Tournament matches at home to advance to the “Sweet 16.” On Thursday, the Ducks dispatched Southeastern Louisiana 3-0 and followed on Friday with a 3-0 win over Hawaii. Oregon (28-5) will host a second-round playoff as well against No. 3 seed Purdue.
