OSU wr, Nov. 13

Redshirt junior 125-pounder Ronnie Bresser and freshman 141-pounder Grant Willits each earned first place at the Mike Clock Open on Sunday to lead the Oregon State wrestling team. Bresser, competing unattached, won by technical fall 17-2 over Josh Johnson of Warner Pacific University. He only gave up six points on the day, and walked into the finals after pinning Fransisco Barrera of Southwest Oregon Community College in 11 seconds in the semifinal match. Willits won by decision over Ralph Tovar of Clackamas Community College 7-5 to earn the title at 141 pounds. He opened the tournament with consecutive pins. The majority of Oregon State’s projected starters for this week’s dual at George Mason on Nov. 16 did not compete at the Mike Clock Open.
